Private by default

Chats are encrypted with a non-exportable device key and stored in IndexedDB, separated by account. Nothing is synchronized to the family or used to train a model.

The family access code is validated on the server and is never saved to localStorage. Account identity and family settings use the platform’s authentication and built-in key-value store, not a relational database.

On-device inference sends no prompts to external services. Ollama mode sends prompts only to the explicit owner-configured endpoint. Downloads contact Hugging Face and MLC's GitHub hosts.

Offline remembered access expires after 7 days. Server revocation applies as soon as the device reconnects. Local encryption protects casual inspection, not a compromised browser profile.

Gondel Nova is an original family assistant, not an OpenAI product. Model availability, runtime support and quality depend on your device. There are no paid LLM integrations in this app.

Can I use it when our home PC is off?

The published website is hosted independently. A downloaded, initialized and offline-verified on-device model does not need your home PC. Ollama requires whichever server you configure to stay online.
